The location of OOTC is rotated between churches in State College from October to April, where homeless people are provided with a cot, blanket, and a meal for the night as well as breakfast the next morning. Volunteers can cook and serve meals or stay as an overnight volunteer. Habitat members cooked two casseroles to bring along and serve for the night. Penn State Habitat for Humanity hopes to return and continue serving at Out of the Cold in the fall. If you're interested in this unique service opportunity, it's a great way to become engaged with our community and make an impact on a very real problem in our own backyards.
